About Black Dog Institute eMHPrac

Black Dog Institute is a global leader in mental health research and the only Medical Research Institute in Australia to investigate mental health across the lifespan. Black Dog Institute provides education to workplaces, communities and health professionals including General Practitioners.

e-Mental Health in Practice (eMHPrac) is a suite of online training modules, webinars and e-resources designed to introduce health professionals to online programs and tools, and to demonstrate how e-mental health technologies can be integrated into primary care. This guide is intended to provide advice of a general nature in the absence of a significant body of evidence on how to use e-Mental health resources in the primary care setting. This resource was developed with funding and support from Black Dog Institute as part of e-Mental Health in Practice (eMHPrac), an initiative funded by the Australian Government.
The eMHPrac Guide to Digital Mental Health Resources provides a useful overview of various Australian online programs, apps, crisis helplines and information sites. All listed programs have been developed by credible sources, such as the Australian Government, universities, and national non-government organisations. The majority are free or low-cost.
