Antepartum haemorrhage - What matters! (ON-DEMAND: 15mins)

Presentation Description

In this didactic session, GP participants will learn about the critical considerations in the identification and management of antepartum haemorrhage. This session will explore the principal causes, pathophysiology, and presentation of antepartum haemorrhage as well the steps involved in the effective assessment, initial triaging, and management of both maternal and foetal wellbeing in this potentially life-threatening obstetric emergency. 

Learning outcomes:
By the end of this session, GP participants will be able to:
  1. Identify the significance, pathophysiology and presentation of antepartum haemorrhage 
  2. Discuss clear mechanisms for the assessment, initial triage and management of antepartum haemorrhage
  3. Outline crucial considerations in the method and timing of delivery in the context of antepartum haemorrhage, including the role of foetal wellbeing patient management
