Multidisciplinary cancer care coordination during COVID - What every GP needs to know (ON-DEMAND: 1hr 4mins)

Presentation Description

This presentation will bring cancer specialists together to discuss the impacts of COVID-19 on cancer diagnosis and discuss management options using a multidisciplinary approach. 

The session will be based on clinical case presentations and discussions. It will provide General Practitioners with an update on the important developments and diagnosis process and give direct access to specialised cancer teams regardless of geographic location allowing for timely triage and appropriate care pathways for their cancer patients.

Learning outcomes 
  1. Describe the symptoms associated with bowel, lung, melanoma, prostate, breast, cervical, ovarian and head and neck cancers
  2. Develop a management strategy for each of the tumour streams in learning objective 1 and assessing the urgency of investigation
  3. Develop a management strategy to improve care coordination for cancer patients
  4. Describe the oncological treatments, interventions and processes, and common reactions to treatment, to support patients and provide further education
